A tragic story led to this unfinished work of art by Gustav Klimt, entitled, 'Maria Munk'. The painter was commissioned to paint a portrait of Maria for her family after her suicide. After two attempts deemed inaccurate by her family, Gustav himself passed away during the painting of this last. Printed on this fine silver coin, Klimt's unfinished painting offers insight into the artist's methods and process, and a reminder of the love between family.

The old civilization believed that leaving likenesses of Anubis at a grave would allow him to lead the spirit to the afterlife. Maybe he did, all we know is the obsidian black plating on this coin is so freakin' cool!
